    The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to inform the public regarding visa on Arrival (VOA) as follows.

    The Ministry of Interior has issued the Ministerial Announcement designating 6 more Visa on Arrival (VOA) checkpoints (in addition to the previous 42 checkpoints which will be effective as of 06 October 2016 Onwards.

    Starting from 27 September 2016, Thailand, by the order of Ministry of Interior No. 30 B.E. 2559 (2016) dated 1 July B.E. 2559 (2016), will increase its VoA fee from 1,000 to 2,000 THB.

    Starting from 27 September 2016, Thailand, by the order of Ministry of Interior No. 30 B.E. 2559 (2016) dated 1 July B.E. 2559 (2016), will increase its VoA fee from 1,000 to 2,000 THB. Tourists from Andorra, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are entitled to apply for VoA at 42 designated immigration checkpoints, which will allow tourists to enter the country for the purpose of tourism and stay for up to 15 days.

    Requirements for VoA are as follows;

    • Completed application form
    • Passport with at least 30 days validity.
    • Confirmed return ticket within 15 days.
    • Visa fee in Thai Baht (Cash)
    • Applicant must carry sufficient funding (at least 10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family) and provide proof of accommodation in Thailand.

    Notice - Thailand Visa Application Centre, Delhi, Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Jaipur

    This is to inform you that w.e.f 13 May 2015, the ‘Royal Thai Embassy’ would require an Authorization letter from the applicant along with their photo ID proof in addition to the original invoice cum receipt if a representative is collecting the passport.

    For the Travel Agents, an Authorization letter would be required on the Travel agency’s original letter head with the list details of the applicants for which the passports are being collected.

    Sub: Visa Fees for Non-Immigrant Visa

    From Wednesday 15 May 2013, demand drafts for all non-immigrant visas collected at VFS Thailand Visa Application Centre in New Delhi will be returned if visa is not issued. Applicants with pending cases can reapply within three months from the first submission date with out VFS service charge.

    The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to announce that in order to improve quality and efficiency of the Thai visa application service, the following new visa application submission and collection timings will be applied at the Thailand VFS Application Center in New Delhi effective from Friday 8 March 2013:

    Please note that collection timing given above is a general guideline. In some cases, applications may take longer time to process, especially when documents submitted do not meet the guidelines announced on March 7, 2013. Applicants/ travel agents are strongly advised to submit applications at least 10 working days prior to applicants’ planned departures. The Embassy takes no responsibility for missed, cancelled, or rescheduled flights.

    The Royal Thai Embassy would like to inform the public regarding the new guidelines for submitting visa application forms:

    • Application for all types of visa: must complete all fields in the application form except for those which are not applicable.
    • Application for Tourist and Transit visa: must provide 1) confirmed itinerary and 2) confirmed reservation for accommodation under applicant’s names. If intend to stay with relatives or friends, must provide invitation letter along with copy of their ID/ passport and in case they are not Thai, must provide their working records in Thailand, e.g. work permit, letter from company they are working with. In addition, applicants must provide 3) proof of sufficient funds available during their stay in Thailand, e.g. original bank statement from the last 6 months, copy of credit cards with their names visibly seen on them together with credit card statements from the last 6 months, or original currency exchange slip of at least 500 USD/person/week with applicant’s name. Proof of funds must cover all expenses including accommodation.
    • Name and address of local guarantor: must provide name, address, telephone number, and fax numbers of travel agent. In case of individuals, must provide name, address, telephone number, and fax numbers of parents, relatives, employer, or friends in India.
    • Name and address of guarantor in Thailand: must provide name, address, telephone number, and fax numbers of the partnered travel agent/ company or group/ personal tour-guide in Thailand.
    • Attached documents: agent/ corporate must issue a guarantor/ sponsor letter signed by authorized person along with visibly seen name list of group members with complete details, e.g. passport number, confirmed round trip flights, and hotel reservation with all names from the group.

    The above guidelines must be strictly followed and will be effective for all applications submitted from February 8, 2013 onwards. The Embassy will thoroughly verify all information given. Thailand Visa Application Centre will not accept applications which do not meet the above specified guidelines or contain unverifiable documents.

    Announcement - Thailand Visa Application Centre, Delhi/Chandigarh

    In order to facilitate visa application process, effective from 4 February 2013, those who submit their applications for tourist and transit visas at VFS Thailand Visa Application Centre at Connaught Place, New Delhi will have the following options as mode of payment for visa fee and VFS service charges:

    • Cash
    • Demand Drafts should be made in a consolidated amount, consisting of Visa fee and VFS service charge and payable to “VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd.”.

    A dedicated cash counter will be set up for both cash and demand draft payments.

    Non-Immigrant applications must provide an external demand draft for visa fee.

    In addition to visa fee and VFS service charge, there will be a bank charge of Rs. 30/- per applications for both modes of payments.

      N O T I C E

      Effective from 5 January 2012, Indian nationals wishing to apply for a tourist or transit visa to Thailand are requested to submit ONLY their current passport, valid for at least six (06) months, along with the duly filled–in application form, photographs, and other supporting documents. (Expired passport will only be required from applicant upon request of the Royal Thai Embassy as additional supporting document.)

      Application submitted with invalid passport will not be accepted by the VFS Thailand Visa Application Center.

      Kindly note, however, that above change does not apply to application of Non-Immigrant Visa or Non-Indian applicants, for which previous passports can still be submitted to support their applications.

      The Royal Thai Embassy and The Royal Thai Consulate General in Chennai wishes to announce the new visa application fees, effective on visas issued from 01 October 2011 onward, as follows…

      Applications submitted to VFS Visa Center in the afternoon session of Friday 30 September 2011 will be charges with the new fees.

      Please note that fee adjustment have been made due to the cumulative changes in foreign exchange rates, and may be adjusted periodically in the future.

      ANNOUNCEMENT

      The Royal Thai Embassy would like to inform the public regarding the new guidelines for submitting visa application forms:

      • Applications for all types of visa: - All fields in the application form must be completed except for those fields which are not applicable.
      • Applications for Tourist and Transit Visa:-
        Fields Application submitted by travel agent Application submitted individually
        Date of arrival in Thailand mode of travel (traveling by), flight number or vessel's name, duration of proposed stay, and date of previous visit to Thailand. Details must be provided.
        Proposed address in Thailand Details must be clearly and fully provided. Application which state 'any good hotel' are not accepted,
        Name and address of Local Guarantor Name, address, telephone and fax numbers of the travel agent must be given. Name, address, telephone and fax numbers of parents, relatives or friends in India must be given.
        Name and address of Guarantor in Thailand (if the details of guarantor in Thailand are not available, information on hotel reservation must be provided (same as proposed address in Thailand) Name, address, telephone and fax numbers of the partnered travel agent/company or group/personal tour-guide in Thailand must be given. Name, address, telephone and fax numbers of parents, relatives or friends in Thailand must be given.
        Attached documents Not applicable in case of group of travelers guaranteed by private travel agent or sponsored by public/private corporate. However, the agent/corporate must issue a guarantee/sponsor letter which is signed by authorized person and attached with the list of group members citing details (name and passport details of each individual, confirmed return flight information and hotel reservation of the group. Photocopies of 1). Confirmed return air ticket/vessel itinerary, 2). Financial statement/credit card issued by a bank or financial institution (not applicable in case of frequent travelers to Thailand) and 3). Proof of hotel/accommodation reservation in Thailand (if applicable).
      • The above guidelines must be strictly followed and will be effective for all application submitted from the second session of 17 June 2011 onwards. Thailand Visa application Center will not accept applications which do not meet the above specified guidelines. Ins case of any traveler guaranteed by private travel agents or sponsored by public/private corporate is involved in illegal activities again the Thai immigration law, the guaranteed entity will be blacklisted by the Embassy and rejected to submit application for Thai visa.

        • The processing time for a visa application across categories would be 3 working days however we highly recommend submitting the application before 5 working days prior to the travel date
        • Passport collections on the same day of application submission are not encouraged by the Thai Consulate.
